Admissions

At Klamath Falls Adventist Christian School, we understand education's vital role in your children's lives. Our mission is to collaborate with families to provide an enriching educational experience that prepares students to navigate the world while nurturing their relationship with Jesus. Below, you will find important details about our admissions processes.

Admissions Policy:

Klamath Falls Adventist Christian School (KFACS) is proudly operated by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Its mission is to serve both Seventh-Day Adventist and non-Seventh-Day Adventist youth. We are delighted to welcome students of any race, color, or national origin, ensuring all children can access our school's various rights, privileges, programs, and activities. We firmly uphold a non-discrimination policy in our educational practices, admissions processes, scholarship and loan programs, and extracurricular activities.

Eligibility for Admission:

We warmly invite young people in grades K-8 who are eager for a character-building education. As a Seventh-day Adventist Christian institution, we encourage high moral standards and promote respect for God and one another. By applying for admission, students commit to following our guidelines and supporting the Christian values foundational to our school community. It is important to note that non-compliance may affect a student's ability to attend.

Age Requirements for Admission:

To enroll in kindergarten, children must turn five on or before September 1 of the current school year. For admission to first grade, a child needs to be six by the same date. We kindly request a birth certificate for all first-time students during registration, and we may also conduct readiness screenings for those entering kindergarten and first grade.

Health Requirements:

Oregon State law requires that all students have a current immunization record. Alternatively, if parents choose to follow state guidelines for exemptions, we ask that they provide the appropriate documentation to the school. In compliance with legal regulations, teachers cannot administer medication to students without a written, signed statement from the parent specifying dosage, the method of administration, and a physician's prescription. Should medication need to be taken during school hours, parents must deliver it directly to the teacher for safe storage until required.

Financial Policies:

Klamath Falls Adventist Christian School operates within a carefully managed budget and benefits from the generous support of one constituent church and the Oregon Conference, allowing us to offer lower tuition rates. Timely tuition payments are essential for the sustainability of our school's programs. Please refer to our Student Handbook for more detailed information about our financial policies.

We welcome you to our school community, where we strive to provide a nurturing environment for your children's growth and development. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us!
